SFI - Death of a Good Idea
By Allan Barker of Alphatech5.com
SFI started off over 15 years ago as a good idea. Build an international chain of affiliates in every country in the world and teach them multi-level marketing to grow the franchise and make money for everybody. I was involved with SFI for about three years (Affiliate 9146878) and I can say that SFI is one of the few schemes on the web that DOES actually pay it's affiliates every month. I, and many others, got paid regularly and on time. SFI was legitimate, honest and ethical - qualities very rare in an web-based business. So it is unfortunate that since January this year SFI has imposed a minimum activity level of 500 points a month on members wishing to remain an affiliate. In my case 90% of my recruited members disappeared over-night. So I presume that the same fate befell millions more SFI members over the last two months. Seems that if you're not active (to at least the 500 point level) then you're out the door. Its a pity that they have ditched so many millions of members, just when we affiliates were starting to increase promotion to the teams. Never mind. There are other things to do in life. It's just a pity that the one good, legitimate company on the web decided to take such drastic action. Time will tell if that was the right strategic move - or if they have precipitated their own demise. Allan Barker

How can they expect to gain new members that will succeed? I'm a newbie, so I haven't been involved with multy level marketing. Thank you for sharing, Alan. Keep up the good work. Best wishes. Frederick
Good intel Alan, I was also involved with SFI as I thought it was a good idea. I'm now with another MLM company that doesn't put any pressure on to either make sales or recruit! A much better idea, as they have a first class quality product, that once you have tried them for a while you find out that they really do work! Recommend to your friends.
I was a Top 100 in SFI a couple of months, but it's the same old leaky bucket syndrome most MLM's have. I steer clear now days.
I can understand a company wanting to eliminate deadwood but this sounds like throwing out the baby with the bath water.
